VPNs and Privacy Mode
Virtual Private Networks
In today's world everyone is tracking us. Not just the Google, Amazon, and Facebook's of the world but every online advertiser. We need a way to protect what we doing on the internet to achieve real online privacy. Many people see advertisements for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and wander what they are or why then need one. The simple explanation is that they provide a protective tunnel around your home (or wherever you are logging in from) and the location of the server providing the VPN service. Many advertisement companies spend lots of money to know where we are and what we are doing on the internet and because of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) wanting to cash in on your web browsing history, this is made very possible. So regular consumers like you and me should protect ourselves from excessive monitoring so that we can shop in peace.
Privacy Mode
There is a running joke on television shows and among men that we need an official "web browser history deleter delegate" being one of our closest friends to delete our web browser history should something unfortunate happen to us. I have many friends and I have looked up some unconventional things in my lifetime (gag gifts of poop and a "can of whoop-ass" for example). I personally don't believe that if I am searching for a one-off type question of mine that I should need a designated friend to come in and delete my entire browser history. This does take some dedication on my part to always enter "Privacy Mode" in whatever browser I avail my search to when looking up such off-the-wall inquires. I would recommend this to you as well.
Putting Them Together
For simplicity, I want to protect myself from prying eyes of my ISP and those trying to track my every move as well as not need another person to delete my browser history if I suddenly go away. I recommend to anyone who is looking at suspicious websites to combine both of these capabilities. Always use a VPN to protect yourself from the internet on-lookers and mega-trackers. Also, if you decide to go to a website with a questionable reputation, then use Privacy mode to make the browser do the work for you and delete the history of you going to those websites. Or, you could just be exposed and get your designation planning on while sharing all your passwords with your good buddy who will cover for you in the event of your untimely situation.
I'll just let you choose.
